“In my current paintings I am working more on paper. I like its immediacy and working in delicate ink transparent washes. This kind of work is generally executed in a rush. Diluted colour flows and follows its natural course according to push and pull efforts, gravity, drip and other risky efforts, all of which leave their mark on paper. Then I let it all dry. After this phase starts a second phase: one which is slow, meditative and with calculated decisions, where I add a line, a shape, a colour. The ultimate aim is to create a harmonious composition that pleases me infinitely.”
