ART | Works on PapeR | Watercolour

“I am interested in the relationship of forms, and how colour fuses them together into one harmonious composition. I have attempted to exploit the separate identity of shapes and how these integrate, relate, or stand out over the neighbouring colours and forms. To me these works are colour stains on paper. It is a form of art which results from instant decision-making. While the watercolour is fresh, it can be influenced for a fleeting moment until it has been absorbed into the paper. These works developed from a 6-week residency at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, USA, in 2003.”
